Bazaar Escapade: World Bazaar Festival

Worldbex Services International (WSI), in cooperation with ABS-CBN, brings us the 13th World Bazaar Festival, the longest and grandest Christmas charity bazaar in the Metro.

This is one of the bazaars that we don't want to miss this year so last Sunday, together with my sister and mom, I went to the World Trade Center (WTC) in Pasay City and see for ourselves how magnificent the fair is.

Since it's a weekend, many people of all ages trooped to the WTC. We were greeted by a long line of shoppers to the ticket booth. Entrance fee is Php50.

After about 15 minutes of waiting, we were able to get our tickets and head to the main area. If you're going to the bazaar, do not throw away the other half of your ticket. You can exchange it to an exclusive World Bazaar Festival recyclable shopping bag. :)

The entrance hall is of course very festive with all the Christmas decors and artifacts. You can buy these items for as low as 50.00. Most of them are handcrafted, locally made while some were imported from different parts of Asia. We spotted a handful of collector's items, too.

Even the main exhibit area is very festive with all the Christmas lights and elegant garlands. But what you can't miss is the number of booths the fair exhibitors manage to collate this year. There's a huge throng of people inside the hall so it was pretty hard to navigate from one booth to another.

Despite this, I was able to manage to take a photo of some items that we found at the fair.

If you're lucky enough to walk your way far into the back of the hall, you'll find Mr. Woobie, whose spinning around endlessly at the center and the stage area where they conduct hourly activities for everyone.

There are booths of ABS-CBN artists which sell used clothes and items. I spotted booths by Kim Chiu, Gladys Reyes, Dimples Romana, Sharlene San Pedro, Rafael Martinez among others. You can also buy the Tulong na, Tabang na T-shirts from the Sagip Kapamilya booth just beside the stage.

I will share my good buys from the bazaar later. :) You can still visit the fair as the World Bazaar Festival is ongoing until December 22, 2013 at the World Trade Center.
